Let us introduce you to the ultimate spodding machine! Shimano's Ultegra XTD Spod Reel has been specially designed for spodding or marker float carp fishing. It has been based on the already very successful Ultegra XTD 14000 carp reel. The effective design of that past model has been specially refined and tweaked so that it is perfect for spodding. Shimano has not overcomplicated the reel. Instead, they have simply thought about what exactly needs to be altered so that you can spod in the most effective fashion possible.

The Ultegra Spod Reel for example has a shallow spool, as less line capacity is needed for spodding. In terms of gear ratio, where the normal Ultegra was 4.3:1, the spodding reel has been adjusted so that it is 5.2:1. This means that it has a greater retrieving speed. The improved retrieving speed will see you get 124cm per winch. This is in comparison to the normal Ultegra's 103cm. The larger egg style knob on the aluminium handle also gives you plenty of grips when you are cranking.

Three line clips perfect the line lay which is made all the more smooth by Shimano's Aerowap II and Super Slow 5 Oscillation technology. We are also big fans of the XT-7 body material which, in combination with the aluminium double E.I. spool, will be sure to stand up to the testing weather conditions of all year-round fishing.

We post up to 12.30pm each day, if you require next day delivery for a delivery please call the shop to make sure this can be done. Bulky items over the value of £60 will be sent via Fedex or ParcelForce Next Day courier service.

Delivery is charged as priced on each order. Large items orders weighing over 2kg will usually be sent on next day delivery requiring a signature upon delivery. Smaller items will be despatched either by Royal Mail 1st Class or a recorded service value dependant. Once you have placed an order it will be dispatched the same day or the next day depending on the time the order was placed. If you wish to cancel your order after it has been dispatched, you will be charged for both delivery and collection cost. If you are unavailable when our delivery partner tries to deliver your order, they will usually try to deliver again the next working day or they will drop a card in to offer you a collection from a local collection point. If you should refuse delivery of goods, or are not available to accept the delivery on both delivery attempts, you will be required to cover any extra costs incurred. All quoted delivery prices are for most UK Mainland addresses. Northern Ireland (BT), Isle of Wight (PO30-37), Isle of Man (IM), Scottish Highlands and Orkney Isles (PA, ML, EH, KA, G, KY, PH, DD, AB, IV, KW), Outer Hebrides and the Shetland Isles (HS, ZE) will incur additional charges and may also experience delivery delays; morning, Saturday and "next working day" deliveries are optional and will also incur additional charges, please contact before buying for a quote on postage if any of these apply to you.

Availability

Returns

If you are unhappy with the goods received we will refund them if they are sent back at the customer's expense in new resaleable condition within 7 working days along with the original receipt. We suggest for your own protection you use 1st class registered post. Any refunds will be issued once we have received the goods, in there original condition. This refund only includes the total of goods sent not the delivery charge. We will not charge a restocking fee for returned items. Any goods with manufacturing faults on arrival will be replaced or refunded.

This does not affect your statutory rights.
